Sri Lankan mattress sizing generally follows five standard widths, all at a common length: Single is around 36" x 75" (91 x 190 cm), Double is around 48" x 75" (122 x 190 cm), Queen Size is around 60" x 75" (152 x 190 cm), King Size is around 72" x 75" (183 x 190 cm), and Extra Large sits above King, typically 72" x 78" (183 x 198 cm) or larger for taller sleepers. Always check the exact measurement of the mattress you're ordering, since sizing can vary slightly between manufacturers and custom bed frames are common in Sri Lanka.
Single is the right call for a child's room, a guest room, or a single adult who prefers a compact bed. Double works well for one adult who likes extra space to move, or as a snug fit for two. Queen Size is the most common choice for couples — enough width for two people to sleep comfortably without crowding. King Size gives couples significantly more personal space each, and is worth the extra footprint if your bedroom can fit it. Extra Large is aimed at taller sleepers or anyone who wants the most room possible, whether that's one person stretching out or two people who each want king-size space to themselves.
Before you decide, measure your bedroom and existing bed frame, not just the mattress — leave enough clearance around the bed for doors, wardrobes, and walking space. If you're upgrading an old bed frame to a larger mattress, confirm the frame or base can support the new size before you order.
